The 58th Annual General Convention of the CofC will convene July 19–21, 2012, at
The Courtyard by Marriott, 115 Presidential Circle Gettysburg, PA, 17325. Reservations must be made directly with the hotel at (717) 334-5600. You use code “CofC” to receive the convention rate of $119.00 plus taxes. If you come early or stay late there is a special rate of $104.00 plus tax. ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE BY June 15, 2012, TO SECURE THE CONVENTION RATE. After that date, room availability and rate cannot be guaranteed. Once the block of rooms are gone, there are no more due to July being a very high tourist season for Gettysburg.
REGISTRATION AND TICKET RESERVATIONS: Forms must be received by June 15, 2012. Meal and tour tickets will not be sold at the convention. MEMBERS OF THE CONVENTION: The CofC General Officers, Ex-Presidents General, Chairmen of Standing and Special Committees, Division Presidents, President of Chapters Where No Divisions, Honorary Presidents of General, and duly elected delegates. All Ex-Directors General, UDC General Officers, and members of the UDC, SCV, and MOS&B and guests are encouraged to attend. Mr. A. J. Widowski is the CofC Convention Chairman; Mrs. Jinny Widowski and Miss Rebecca Widowski are the UDC Convention Co-Chairmen.
NOTICES PAGES: Names of those wishing to serve as pages should be submitted by June 1st to the UDC Advisor to the Chairman of pages, Mrs.Cassie Barrow, 621 Forrest Ave, Griffin, GA 30224, home number (770) 412-1646 and cell (770) 468-4313, email littlelady1861@inbox.com. Pages are not required to serve at every event.
SCRAPBOOKS: Chapter and Division Scrapbooks and Yearbooks to be judged for General Awards must be in the hands of the Historian General by the end of the evening of Welcome and Historical Evening, Thursday, July 19, 2012. An area will be provided for their drop off.
MEMORIALS: The names of deceased CofC members, Ex-Presidents General, Ex-General Officers, Past Honorary Presidents of General, Ex-Directors General, and Ex- Division Directors should be sent by June 1, 20to Chaplain General Miss Danielle Cain, 119 Towee Pike, Reliance, TN 37369 and to the Director General.
